HDMI Audio Extractor Overview
It can separate the audio from HDMI input signal source convert into the optical port and analog L/R Stereo RCA audio output.
It’s a perfect solution for amplifiers/receivers/sound bars that do not have HDMI inputs,and suitable for various HDMI source devices that do not have dedicated audio output.
Three Audio EDID Settings
▶-2CH Mode: Set 2CH to get analog stereo.The AHE01 extracts digital 2CH PCM audio from HDMI and convert it to 2CH analog stereo output through the RCA L/R port.
▶-5.1CH Mode: Set 5.1CH to get 5.1 digital surround.The SPDIF optical port supports incoming audio formats up to 5.1CH Dolby Digital and DTS.
▶-PASS Mode: For 5.1/7.1CH PCM, Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby TrueHD and above,set EDID to PASS and connect HDMI output to your receiver directly. Package Contents:

To improve our customers experience, we posted the 3 methods as follows if you experience no sound from output.
▶1:Switch EDID Button
Switch the EDID audio switch in the front. Change it between 2CH, 5CH or pass.
▶2:Turn Off Dolby Digital Plus
Because TOSLINK (SPDIF) does not support Dolby Digital Plus, you need to turn off Dolby Digital Plus function of the input devices. Then the sound can go through the extractor.
a: Amazon Fire TV or Amazon Fire TV Stick.
Settings – Display Sound – Audio – Dolby Digital Output – Dolby Digital Plus off.
b: Chromecast
Chromecast plays the contents from your video source, please make sure to turn off the Dolby Digital Plus on the video source through the play devices.
▶3:If you use the HDMI to DVI or HDMI to VGA cable for the video, you may experience no audio out. In this case, please use HDMI to HDMI cable for the video.
Note: HDMI to HDMI+AUDIO(SPDIF+L/R) Extractor will not improve video quality. Just help you convert the screen.
